Three UK football players plead not guilty in drug case
A lawyer for three UK football players charged with marijuana possession pleaded not guilty in the case on Tuesday on their behalf.
Running back Raymond Sanders, cornerback Marcus Caffey, and receiver Bookie Cobbins were all charged with possession of marijuana on September 13, according to UK Police Chief Joe Monroe. Police had responded after a complaint about a marijuana smell coming from Cooperstown Apartments.
The three were cited and ordered to appear in court. Marijuana possession is a misdemeanor.
