Hazard cops find cocaine, pills, and cash in hotel room bust

Cocaine, prescription pills, and more than $16,000 in cash were discovered Tuesday night by the Hazard Police Department.

Officials reported that Tuesday night's bust was one of many in recent months for Hazard's busy police. An anonymous tip led them to the America's Best Value Inn. When police entered the hotel room more than two dozen oxycodone tablets, one gram of cocaine, and $16,000 in cash were found.

Accused in the case is 38-year-old Johnny Clark of Viper. Neighbors reported that Clark has a history of using drugs but was believed to be drug-free after completing rehab. Clark faces two counts of first-degree trafficking of a controlled substance.

The investigation is ongoing and more charges may follow.
