Body moved from Letcher Co. crime scene before police arrive

A death investigation in Letcher County was presented before the grand jury Thursday, October 18. According to police, 50-year-old Patsy Cook died of an overdose--but her body was moved before police were called to the scene.

Jimmy Dean Branson was arrested for moving Cook's body to her sister's home. Police say Cook's body was found at her sister's home at 10 a.m. but 911 wasn't called until 1:30 p.m., allowing over three hours to move the body. Branson is being held on house arrest while awaiting possible indictments to be returned.

Police expect others to be charged in the case.
