David man arrested in connection with a string of car burglaries

Prestonsburg police have arrested David Crace of David for allegedly being responsible for a number of recent car burglaries in the Prestonsburg area. Video evidence connected Crace to the burglaries, according to Prestonsburg police.

The Floyd County Times is reporting that officials used video surveillance that showed Crace attempting to use a bank card taken in one of the burglaries. Officials say the recent string of car break-ins has not been confined to just Floyd County and Prestonsburg, but also Johnson and Pike counties. Crace is thought to be connected to many of the 40 or more recent burglaries in the Prestonsburg area. He was arrested on outstanding warrants but officials say more charges are likely forthcoming.
