Forest fire near Morehead leads to warning for motorists
The Kentucky Department of Highways is urging motorists to travel with caution along U.S. 60 near Morehead in Rowan County due to an adjacent forest fire. Smoke may reduce visibility in the area.
Highway crews are monitoring the situation, and could temporarily close the road if the situation deems it necessary. U.S. Forest officials are responding to the ongoing blaze as well as area firefighters. Motorists are asked to slow down, and drive carefully near the area as well as heed all warning signs.
