Kentucky Chinese restaurant shut down after roadkill fiasco
Red Flower Chinese Restaurant in Williamsburg has been shut down by health inspectors after customers witnessed two employees wheel in a dead deer stuffed inside a trash can.
A customer at the restaurant told WYMT-TV there was actually a trail of blood being mopped up behind the garbage can. The owner claimed the deer, which his son reportedly picked up along Interstate 75, was never going to be served to customers. The owner claims he intended to take it home.
Officials immediately shut down the restaurant and cited the owner's son for possession of a deer without a tag. The restaurant can reopen if they pass an inspection proving that they completely cleaned and disinfected the restaurant, stated health inspector Paul Lawson.
