Meth lab found in child's bedroom

Police in Raceland say they have discovered a meth lab in a child's bedroom. A press release from the FADE drug task force says the discovery was made when police went to a house on Crump Street to search for a person involved in a domestic violence incident. The KSP's DESI team was called to the home to dismantle the lab.

A search of the home revealed several one-bottle meth labs and generators. Raceland police arrested David Wellman, 32, and Vickie Stepp, 27. Both are charged with wanton endangerment and possession of a controlled substance. Both are being held in the Greenup County Detention Center.
