More than a dozen students are suspended from one Eastern Kentucky High School

Fifteen students have been suspended from Rowan County High School for having inappropriate pictures on their cell phones. Rowan County superintendent Marvin Moore confirmed the students being suspended for what he described as inappropriate behavior involving their cell phones. The Morehead News is reporting the behavior involves pictures on the phones. The superintendent says most of the incident likely happened away from school, but officials were made aware of the pictures during the school day on Friday. At least 12 of the students were suspended for one day and others will not be permitted to use their cell phones for the rest of the school year. The investigation is being handled within the school system and no criminal charges are expected at this time.
