Boyd Co. fugitive nabbed in traffic stop

Kentucky State Police in Ashland arrested a wanted fugitive in Boyd County on Monday afternoon. Ty Jacob Doolen, age 26, was wanted by police on a charge of first degree assault.

State police received information about an alleged assault that had occurred at a home on Back Drive in Rush. Thirty-one-year-old Amelia Hall of Rush was found unresponsive at the residence. Hall suffered from multiple injuries. Boyd Co. emergency officials responded to the scene and Hall was transported to Cabell Huntington Hospital, where she remains in critical condition.

Police received information on Monday that Doolen was traveling in a vehicle on Ky. Rt. 1458 near Rt. 5. Troopers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Doolen was taken into custody without incident.
