What was supposed to be helping troubled youth turned into a Bell County teacher facing what deputies call shocking charges.

Bell County Sheriff's Deputies arrested 45-year-old Dwight King, a teacher at the Bell Day Treatment and Recovery Center. Deputies say he violated the trust of his position. Investigators say King supplied drugs to students.

Bell County Sheriff's deputies took teacher Dwight King out of the classroom this week.

Bell County Sheriff Bruce Bennett said "He's in jail. He's not in school today and I hope he will not be anymore."
The Sheriff says investigators believe King supplied drugs to students at the Bell Day Treatment Center, a school designed to help troubled students.

The Sheriff says the investigation started when students at the school filed written complaints at the Board of Education, and then the School Board turned it over to the Sheriff's Department.

Deputies charged King with drug trafficking and trafficking within 1,000 feet of a school.

King's bond is $500,000 full cash.
