St. Joseph hospital has announced free health screenings

Saint Joseph Martin, part of KentuckyOne Health, will join with other health and community organizations to offer free screenings and information at a series of health education events hosted by Project Caring Across the County beginning in May.

Eight days of health screenings and educational events will be held throughout May and July at various locations in the county. The events will provide easy access to free health screenings and information for the community.

The health fair events are planned for:

• May 22-23 at the Floyd County Health Department

• June 26-27 at Betsy Layne Elementary School

• July 16-17 at Allen Central High School

Services available at the events will include physical exams, women breast and cervical cancer screening, diabetes screenings, dental care for adults such as cleaning, fillings and extractions, colon cancer screenings, health information on smoking cessation, heart health and cancer.
