A Southeastern Kentucky official has died in an ATV accident

The assistant emergency management director for Clay County was killed in ATV accident on Sunday evening. Officials with the Clay County sheriffs office report that Jennings Johnson died Sunday evening after his four wheeler flipped while going up an embankment, pinning him underneath. The accident took place in the Burning Spring area. Johnson was taken to Manchester Memorial Hospital and then transported to UK Medical Center where he later died. Jennings Johnson was 54 years old.
