Governor Beshear has announced an increase in the number of prescription disposal locations

Governor Steve Beshear announced on Wednesday that Kentucky is increasing to 149, the number of prescription drug disposal locations in 97 Kentucky counties. Beshear noted that with nearly 150 locations throughout the state, that it is now easier for Kentuckians to properly dispose of these medications. The disposal boxes address vital public safety and public health issues. Medicines left in cabinets are susceptible to misuse and abuse. Several Eastern Kentucky counties have locations for disposal including: Floyd, Johnson,Pike, Magoffin and Martin.
