Kentucky State Police are accepting applications for upcoming teen driving academy

Kentucky State Police are accepting applications for the 10th annual "Drive to stay Alive" teen driving academy, scheduled for August 28th-September 1st at the KSP headquarters in Frankfort. The training includes topics such as collision causation, vehicle dynamics, skid control, backing and multiple turns. To be eligible for the program, student candidates must be 16 years of age or older, a licensed driver, have leadership traits and have been given permission from school principal. All Kentucky public and private schools are eligible for the program. Applications for the program are available on the KSP website. there is no fee for the program, but space is limited. The deadline to submit an application is August 16th.
