A Floyd County Judge finds probable cause to send a child abuse case to a grand jury

A Prestonsburg couple were in Floyd District on Tuesday, for a preliminary hearing on charges of child abuse. Dan Huynh 36 and Holly Le 39, were arrested in November after an investigation by Prestonsburg Police. Prestonsburg Police detective Adam Dixon testified during to proceedings to the nature of what brought about the charges being filed against the pair. Attorney Ned Pillersdorf, who represents the couple has stated that the incident could be a misunderstanding due to cultural standards on how parents discipline their children in other cultures. The couple are natives of Vietnam. Floyd District Judge Jimmy Marcum ruled that he had found probable cause to refer the case to a grand jury. The children involved were removed from the home and placed in foster care.
