Floyd County election filings slow to come in over recent weeks

Since December 2nd, only three new candidates have filed paperwork to seek political office in the upcoming 2014 election in Floyd County. Two of the three to file were in the race for division two circuit judge, currently held by John David Caudill. David Allen Barber and Thomas M. Smith both filed papers to seek the judge seat. the pair join Earl Mickey McGuire as candidates for the position.

Larry "Boss" Jarrell also filed to seek the office of district one constable. Jarrell will face off with Lester Jarvis for the Constable position.

Candidates have until January 28th to file for next year's election.
