Floyd County food pantries sharing 30,000 in donations

Area food pantries were on the receiving end of over 30,000 in donations recently, as a group of Floyd County attorneys came together to donate the money to help feed families in the area. The Floyd County Times is reporting that 31,815 dollars was raised and will be evenly distributed between ten Floyd County food pantries. Officials with the food pantries said the money will go a long way to help and that the pantries could purchase food at a price of 21 cents per pound, which means the total raised can provide over 150,000 pounds of food.
