Three Victims Recovering After Hit And Run
Three people are recovering after a hit and run. Now, the driver and two other men are in jail.
According to WSAZ TV
It happened about 4:40 p.m. Saturday at the Easy Stop Gas Station in Clay City.
Kentucky State Police say Jarrod Fugate, 19, Zachary Romans, 25, and Anthony Romans, 24, were reported to be causing a disturbance and were asked to leave the gas station.
Troopers say the three men got into a car driven by Fugate. He accelerated swiftly -- hitting Tammy Curtis, 55. Troopers say he then changed directions and hit Kayla Rivera, 23, and Virgel "Ben" Barnett, 84.
Barnett was treated at the scene, but Curtis and Rivera were flown to the hospital where they are listed in stable condition.
All three men in the car were arrested. Fugate is facing a list of charges including assault, wanton endangerment and leaving the scene of an accident.
Troopers say alcohol appears to be a contributing factor in the hit and run. It remains under investigation.
