Two people have been charged with bringing contraband into the Floyd County jail

Police have arrested two individuals and charged them with bringing contraband into the Floyd County jail. The arrest came after a joint investigation by Attorney General Jack Conway's Department of Criminal Investigation Unit, Kentucky State Police. Prestonsburg Police and the Floyd County Detention Center. Officials have not released the identity of the individuals who were arrested and have not stated what type contraband was found during a search of the jail. Kentucky State Police are continuing to investigate.
