Two Magoffin County Construction Firm Owners In Court On Monday

Two Magoffin County construction firm owners accused in a kickback scheme with a judge executive from another county will be in court today.

WYMT – TV is reporting that Kenneth and Ruth Gambill will be arraigned in Federal Court this morning.

An indictment accuses the Gambills of working with Morgan County Judge Executive, Tim Conley, to steer contracts to their company.

U.S. Attorneys say this was all in exchange for county construction projects.

Kenneth Gambill and Conley are charged with mail fraud and theft from a program receiving federal funds.

All three are charged with conspiracy to launder money.

Conley pleaded not guilty on December 10th.
