The Floyd County Fiscal Court continues to fight with financial issues during most recent meeting

During a special called meeting on Monday of the Floyd County Fiscal Court, more financial issues were discussed but again not much progress was made as magistrates tabled a request for payment of 165,000 in bills from work done by C&C construction. Magistrates agreed they should seek guidance from the state department for local government. The magistrates were concerned if it would be legal to pay the bills. The Floyd County Times reported that the bills did not include a purchase order. The fiscal court was previously questioned by an independent auditor as to why they had not followed purchase order guidelines when paying invoices. Magistrates were told that it was not a good idea to vote to pay any invoice that did not include a purchase order. The bills submitted dated all the way back to 2010 in some cases.
