Kentucky Agriculture Commissioner James Comer coming to Hazard for town hall meeting
Agriculture Commissioner James Comer will host a town hall meeting on Tuesday December 10th at 8 am at the Perry County Extension Office in Hazard. Comer said " i feel it is important to get away from Frankfort and meet the citizens of Kentucky where they live. Commissioner Comer assumed the office in January of 2012 after 12 years as a state representative. In less than two years, Comer has led the charge to restore industrial hemp production to the state and expanded the departments efforts to promote local foods. This year, Comer has launched Kentucky Proud jobs for Vets, Homegrown by Heroes, Udderly Kentucky, Farm to Campus, and the farm to School Junior Chef tournament.
