A Pike County man has been indicted on murder charges

A Pike County grand jury has indicted 35 year old Ervin J Smallwood of Regina on a charge of murder. Smallwood is accused of killing 32 year old Gregory Todd Martin of Elkhorn City. Martin was found at a home in Regina on November 22nd. The indictment contends that Smallwood suffocated Martin causing his death. Smallwood will be arraigned on the charge on December 11th. No motive was given for the murder. An indictment is not an indicator of guilt, but only that enough evidence is present to bring charges against the person charged in the crime.
