A Martin County Grand Jury has handed down a murder indictment
A Martin County Grand Jury has handed down a murder indictment against 29 year old Orie Spence Jr. Spence is accused of killing his cousin and his cousins wife. The indictment handed down on Thursday, charges Spence with murder, tampering with evidence and being a persistent felony offender. Police say Spence shot and killed 40 year old Edgar Hedrick and 37 year old April Hedrick at their home on November 1st. Kentucky State Police say the suspected murder weapon was found on Spence's parents property and that statements made by Spence's mother led to his arrest. Spence remain lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center on a 2 million dollar bond.
