A Pikeville Man Has Been Arrested on Firearm And Drug Charges
A Pikeville man armed with a handgun was arrested Tuesday on firearm and drug charges after a traffic stop in the 100 block of Prater Place, Pikeville Police say.
William Scott age 20, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a controlled substance, second-degree possession of drug paraphernalia, first-degree driving under the influence and reckless driving.
An off duty Pikeville Police officer received a complaint about a reckless driver in the 100 block of Prater Place. Assisted by fellow officers he responded to that area about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Scott was arrested without incident. He was taken to the Pike County Detention Center.
