A shooting in Laurel Co. is under investigation.
A man is now behind bars in Laural county after allegedly shooting his girlfriend.
The Laural county Sheriffs office said Richard Lawson was intoxicated when he shot at his girlfriend who was trying to leave their home during an argument.
Deputies found Lawson passed out with a rifle in hand and the couples 11 year old son in the home. Gena Smith was sent to St. Joesph's Hospital in London for treatment
Lawson has been charged with 1st degree assault, domestic violence and 1st degree wanton endangerment.
