Perry Co. house fire claims two lives
Kentucky State Police say a house fire in the Scuddy area has resulted in the deaths of two people over the weekend.
Sandra K. Melton, 64, and Suzy Rebecca Melton, 35, were found inside the house and were pronounced dead at the scene on Sunday morning. Fire officials say preliminary investigations indicate the fire was started by a skillet on the stove. No foul play is suspected.
Both victims were taken to the state medical examiner's office in Frankfort for autopsy.
