More than 100 Kentucky School Districts have agreed to raise the dropout age to 18

More than 100 of Kentucky's school districts have now signed on, approving policies barring students under 18 from dropping out of school. Governor Steve Beshear is urging Kentucky's remaining districts to do the same. The 55% needed to trigger a statewide implementation of the policy was surpassed over two weeks ago. Beshear explained that there was no reason for school districts to delay, considering the higher dropout age becomes a statewide standard by 2017.,
