Alcohol Factor in Fatal Pike County Accident

Kentucky State Police say alcohol was a factor in a crash that killed a man from Elkhorn City.

According to WSAZ, the two-vehicle crash happened on KY 197 on Saturday.

Troopers say Arnold Stapleton, 41, died in the accident.

According to troopers, Stapleton struck the rear of another vehicle. He then drove about one mile before dropping off the right shoulder of the road. Stapleton then over-corrected, crossed the roadway and overturned, coming to final rest in the creek.

Stapleton died at the scene.
