Police are investigating a Louisa Bank robbery

It happened just before 3 p.m. Friday along the 200 block of East Main Street.

Police say a robbery at the Inez Deposit Bank in Louisa, Kentucky took place on Friday.

Police say a man entered the bank and demanded cash from a teller.

The suspect was wearing a red and black baseball cap, khaki pants, long-sleeve patterned shirt over a white T-shirt with the letters WAX visible on the front of the shirt.

The man obtained an undisclosed amount of cash before exiting the bank through the rear entrance. He then ran from the area on Lock Avenue, heading toward Madison Street.

The male is described as approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall with a slender build.

The case remains under investigation by KSP Detective Jeff Kelley, and the Louisa Police Department and Lawrence County Sheriff's Department responded and assisted in the investigation.
