Two suspects have been arrested in connection with a McDowell robbery
Kentucky State Police Post 9 received a call shortly before midnight Tuesday night, reporting a robbery at the McDowell Stop and Shop.
Police responding to the scene where they learned that a tall male entered the store, wearing a white handkerchief over his face and brandishing a weapon. The man demanded money from the clerk, then fled west in a green Buick with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Kentucky State Police observed a vehicle matching the description of the one used in the robbery and pulled it over. The driver, Scottie R. Bradley, 31, of Blue River, was arrested and charge with first-degree robbery, driving under the influence, resisting arrest, fleeing or evading police on foot, first-degree wanton endangerment, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and other traffic offenses.
Kelly J. Bryant, 43, of Martin, was also arrested and charged with first-degree robbery. Both suspects were lodged in the Floyd County Detention Center.
