Governor Steve Beshear announces 1.1 million for recreational trails

Governor Steve Beshear has announced more than 1.1 million in funds to be used to maintain and develop 20 trail projects in Kentucky. The governor stated " opening trails is key to expanding adventure tourism, allowing communities to attract tourists while also providing outdoor activities for local residents. The grants range from 12,500 for a trail in Olive Hill in Eastern Kentucky, up to 100,000 for a trial in Knott County near Hindman. The grants come from the Federal Highway Administration.
