Mitch McConnell preparing to host a pro-coal "Listening Session" in Pikeville

Kentucky senator Mitch McConnell has decided to hold his own listening session in Eastern Kentucky after the EPA refused to hold one at McConnell's request. McConnell titled the hearing the "Coal Country Hearing the EPA refused to have". The event will be held on Friday December 6th at 10 am in the Coal building on the campus of the University of Pikeville. The meeting is expected to include coal families, small business owners and community leaders that have all been affected by what has been termed the presidents war on coal. McConnell said he organized the session so voices could be spoken and that he planned to take the message directly to the EPA so they could hear how the war on coal is impacting Kentucky Coal Miners and the economy in Eastern Kentucky.
