The Johnson County sherfifs office and Kentucky State Police conduct a drug roundup on Monday

Calling the event "Operation Fall Harvest", the Johnson County Sheriffs office and Kentucky State Police worked together on Monday as they tracked down over two dozen people on drug related charges. The arrests were due in part to a two and a half year investigation, in which officers made over 80 undercover buys. Most of those arrested were charged with trafficking in narcotics, while a small amount face meth related charges. More than 70 people have been arrested this year as a result of the roundups. Sheriff Dwayne Price spoke with Wymt saying " the sheriffs department was trying to send a crystal clear message that they would not tolerate this" Authorities were searching for a total of 28 people who had been indicted on drug charges during the roundup.
