Officials find a fugitive couple hiding in Eastern Kentucky woods

Detectives with the Rowan County sheriffs department arrested a fugitive couple that they had been searching for since last December. Ronnie McKinney and Melissa Hopkins had been on the run since being indicted on drug trafficking charges. A tip led to the pair being found at a campsite they had set up on McKinneys property near the Daniel Boone National Forest. Officials say the site was guarded by a network of security cameras and motion sensors. Investigators say the couple may have been staying at the location during the summer months. Both are expected to be in court on November 1st.
