UPDATE : A Johnson County woman will not be eligible for early parole

A Johnson County woman serving time for killing her boyfriend in 2010 will not be eligible for early parole.

Donna Wheeler will not be eligible for parole until she has completed at least 85% of her 14.5 year sentence. Wheeler had requested early parole, stating that she was a victim of domestic violence when she killed James Sparks. Wheeler shot Sparks in April of 2010 as he was leaving her home. Wheeler remains in the Western Kentucky Correctional Complex.
