A Floyd County man has pleaded guilty to stealing from graves

A Floyd County man who was scheduled to go on trial after being accused of stealing items from area graveyards instead entered a guilty plea in Floyd County Court on Monday.

Randall Vicars pleaded guilty to the crime, agreeing to a two year jail sentence. The court ruled that Vicars must serve 120 days with the remainder of the sentence being probated.

Vicars was arrested in July after deputies stated that Vicars was found to be in possession of a memorial that had been reported stolen from the Newman Cemetery. Vicars' sentencing is scheduled for October 15th.
