Eleven people lost their lives on Kentucky roads during the past week
Eleven people were killed in nine separate accidents on Kentucky roadways during the past week.
Fatal accidents occurred in eight separate counties, including three in eastern Kentucky. One each occurred in Floyd, Bell and Greenup counties. Oldham, Wayne, Jefferson, Mason and Pulaski counties each experienced fatal vehicle accidents during the period as well.
One accident took place on Friday in Floyd County that claimed two lives. The accident took place on U.S. 23 near the intersection of Ky. Route 80.
Through September 8th, preliminary statistics indicate 426 people have lost their lives on Kentucky roadways so far this year.
