A trial date has been moved forward for a Johnson County man

US Magistrate Judge Edward Atkins ordered the trial of John Thomas Kline that was originally set for October 15th, moved up to October 7th. No reason was given for the change in date of the trial. Kline, of West Van Lear was charged with possession and distribution of a controlled substance. Kline had planned to run for sheriff of Johnson County before his arrest. He was ordered to remain in custody until his trial date.
