The body of a woman discovered in Knott County is thought to be that of a missing Johnson Co. woman

A group of people searching for a missing Johnson County woman discovered a body in Knot County on Wednesday. Family members say the body was Christina Barnett, who had been missing since last Wednesday. Members of an assembled search team located the body about one mile east of Hindman along Kentucky Route 80. Family members found the body badly burned and beneath a television. Barnett was last seen on Wednesday in Hazard. State police and the Knott County Coroner were called to the scene. The body was sent to the state medical examiners office for an autopsy. Police did not say if foul play was suspected due to the nature of the ongoing investigation.
