Arrest is made in connection with a recent string of Pike County thefts

A Pike County man was arrested after admitting to police that he went on a crime spree.

Twenty-two-year-old John Pugh was arrested Monday morning. At the time of his arrest, Pugh was in possession of a stolen cell phone and also told officers where other stolen items could be found.

Police report that a large quantity of items have been recovered, and that they are in the process of working to return the items to their rightful owners.

Pugh was lodged in the Pike County Detention Center and charged with felony theft by unlawful taking over $500.
