Portions of Williamson under a boil water advisory

Officials with the Williamson Water Department issued a boil water advisory for portions of the city on Monday. The advisory included the Williamson Memorial Hospital. The advisory is due to a broken water main, and is not connected to the recent chemical incident that has affected much of a nine county area in West Virginia. In addition to the hospital, the advisory includes customers on Vinson Street, Mulberry Street, Oak Street and Academy Street. Customers are advised to boil any water used for cooking, drinking or watering pets until further notice.
