U.S. Senate candidate to make stop in Prestonsburg

Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes is expected to stop in Prestonsburg on Thursday. Grimes will give a speech at the Mountain Arts Center in Prestonsburg. Officials with Grimes campaign say she will speak about jobs and the quality of life issues in Eastern Kentucky after a significant downturn in the coal economy. Grimes is seeking the seat currently held by Republican Mitch McConnell. Grimes recently picked up endorsements from the Kentucky Education Association and the National Education Association.
