Infant remains found at home of jailed Rowan County parents

Wlex is reporting that a Rowan County home where police found nine kids living in deplorable conditions and arrested both parents early this month, has been searched again by authorities where the remains of a premature infant where found. Kentucky State Police were contacted by the Rowan County Department for Social Services with information concerning the possible location of a deceased infant. A search of the property uncovered the remains of the infant. An autopsy is scheduled today in Frankfort. Johnathan Prater and Edith Strange were already being held in the Rowan County Detention Center on previous abuse and neglect charges. The case remains under investigation.
