Counterfeit money becoming a problem in the city of Harlan

Police in Harlan say counterfeit bills are becoming more of a problem. Several businesses have received fake bills in recent weeks. The bills have been discovered at several businesses including: McDonald's, CVS, gas stations and KU. Police say the counterfeit bills all have the same serial number which indicates they are coming from the same place. Wymt is reporting that fake tens and twenties are the most common in recent weeks. Police are continuing to investigate.
