Boil water advisory issued in portions of Martin County

A boil water advisory has been issued in Martin County for customers of : Petercave, Meathouse, Pigeon Roost, and Emily Creek. The advisory has been issued due to a water main break located at the intersection of Pigeon Roost and Route 1714. The advisory affects over 300 customers. The potential exists for bacteriological contamination of the water supply; therefore the advisory has been issued as a precautionary measure. The advisory will remain in effect until the situation has been corrected and test results show the water to be of acceptable quality.
