A pursuit in Bell County has left an officer injured. After a driver disregarded a road check set up by the state police, one of the troopers went after it. The driver then left the vehicle and fled on foot, with the trooper continuing to pursue them. During the chase the officer broke his leg and had to be air lifted to the University of Tennessee medical center. The driver’s whereabouts are unknown at this point.
