Kentucky State Police continue to investigate the accident, which took the lives of two young girls in Magoffin County. The crash occurred Thursday afternoon, about 7 miles west of Salyersville along the Mountain Parkway. The victims have been identified as 20 year old Alma Elliot of Martin and 22 year old Kayla Allen of Van Lear. Elliot was driving, and lost control of the vehicle and struck another car driven by Janet Stephens who was taken to the University of Kentucky hospital for her injuries. Both of the girls were declared dead at the scene, and according to the KSP the investigation is still ongoing.
