An escaped inmate is back in custody

After a daring escape Sunday morning, a pike county inmate is back in custody. Arias Silcox escaped while being treated for a self inflicted head injury. While deputy jailers were escorting him back to the van a car pulled up and Silcox jumped in, causing some minor injuries to his escort. While officials do not currently know the identity of the driver, they were able to capture Silcox at his sister’s home in the Marrowbone community. In an interview with WYMT Pike County Jailer Freddie Lewis encouraged the driver to turn themselves in to avoid harsher charges.
