The Natural Hazard Mitigation Association recently announced the selection of Geni Jo Brawner to its board of directors. Brawner was named Kentucky’s state hazard mitigation officer in May 2014. KYEM Director Michael E. Dossett said Ms Brawner’s leadership has made Kentucky’s Hazard Mitigation Program one of the nation’s most progressive. He added that the position and recognition at the national level is well deserved. Brawner said she was honored by the nomination and appointment and looks forward to representing the Commonwealth at the national level.
